Build It Green is a professional non-profit membership organization whose mission is to
promote healthy, durable, energy– and resource-efficient buildings in California. Enviro Pro Tech is a partner of the Build It Green organization.

Installing a Solar Hot Water System earns 10 Points in the GreenPoint Rated system from Build It Green. The 10 points are given in the Energy Category of both the New Home Guideline and the Home Remodeling Guideline. Solar Hot Water earns one of the highest point totals per measure in these guidelines.

Solar Hot Water for pre-heating Domestic Hot Water also earns 4 points in the Multifamily Guideline which is again one of the highest point earners in that checklist.

Local agencies and builders throughout the state of California have rapidly adopted GreenPoint Rated since its launch in 2006. In 2008, this program has received the endorsement of the Association of Bay Area Governments, the Home Builders Association of Northern California, and the Building Industry Association of Central California.


 

 

Enviro Pro Tech has employees that are Certified Green Building Professionals. This training program offered by Build It Green covers the overarching principles of green building and the systems approach to the design, construction and operation of buildings.
